VIKTOR & ROLF - Couture Fall 2014

Many of the dresses shown throughout Haute Couture collections will reappear on red carpets all over the world.
But Viktor & Rolf challenged this idea and wondered how dresses might look if they were actually made from red carpet.

The challenge was to manipulate a rigid material such as carpet into wearable volumes, knotting and tying techniques as „spontaneous gestures“. I haven been working closely with the Couture team on experimenting with patterns, developing the textile animal embroideries as well as the shoes.
